DZL Academy Publication Award

The award will recognize an outstanding publication by a DZL Academy Fellow for work that was undertaken during the Fellowship.

The DZL Academy Fellow must be a first or last author on the publication, which must have been published or accepted for publication within the 12 months prior to the application deadline. In addition to the authorship and publication date criteria, publications that are considered for the award must address an area of lung research with translational implications, and must have been conducted primarily in the laboratory of a DZL PI. The subject of the study must have been submitted as an Abstract to the DZL Annual meeting.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Translational potential and/or impact of the work described in the paper
  •  Proof of originality of concept and idea in respective research field
  • Innovation: Likelihood that reported findings will advance field
  • Quality of written statement/translational, where the relevance is aptly described
  • Evidence of original contribution to the publication by the applicant

The 2024 call for submissions is now open. Application deadline 05 May 2024.
