The Cournand Lecture Award honours a young investigator and commemorates the distinguished French scientist, André Frédéric Cournand, who worked for much of his life in the United States and was awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology in 1956 for his pioneering work on the in vivo investigation of the circulation.

Call for proposals for the 2021 Research Prizes of the German Respiratory Society. The two prizes are aimed to support and promote the next generation of researchers in the field of respiratory research. They are endowed with € 10,000 each and will be awarded for the best lab-based research achievements and for findings on respiratory therapy, prevention or the use of digital medicine, respectively.
