During this year’s conference of the German Respiratory Society (DGP), DZL Scientist Prof. Dr. Marius Hoeper (DZL Site BREATH, Hannover), senior physician of the Department for Respiratory Medicine at Hannover Medical School, received the Oskar Medicine Award 2016 for his game-changing research in the area of Pulmonary Hypertension.

With this award the Oskar-Helene-Heim Foundation recognizes the scientific quality of Prof. Hoeper’s research over the past 25 years. It has been proven through a multitude of high-ranking publications and just recently through his senior authorship of the new European Guideline for the diagnosis and therapy of Pulmonary Hypertension. The Oskar Medicine Award is endowed with 50.000 € and therefore one of the highest endowed medicine prizes in Germany.
