DZL Researchers Pilot Novel Imaging Technology

DZL Researchers at the Thoraxklinik, University of Heidelberg generated the first human clinical images with a pioneering imaging technology.

On May 7, 2013 under the direction of DZL Researcher, Professor Felix Herth, MD PhD at the Thoraxklinik, University of Heidelberg, the Tomophase OCT Imaging System (OCTIS) was used  for the first time to examine the airways of a patient undergoing bronchoscopy.  OCTIS, developed by Tomophase Corporation in the United States provides real-time, high resolution imaging of airways at a level previously not possible.  For more information please see  http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20130520-904783.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
