DZL Research Member Receives Young Investigator Award

DZL Research Member, Dr. Julius Renne receives Young Investigator Award at the 94th German Radiology Conference.

At this year’s  94th German Radiology Conference (29 May - 1 June 2013) in Hamburg, a Young Investigator Award was granted to Dr. Julius Renne, a DZL Research Member from the BREATH (Biomedical Research In Endstage And Obstructive Lung Disease Hannover) Research Network working at the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover.  Dr. Renne received this award for his work, "Functional analysis of pulmonary inflammation after endobronchial allergen challenge using MRI T1-mapping.”  This work demonstrates the potential of MRI as a promising tool for the understanding of pathophysiological processes in lung diseases.
