DZL Director named Chair of the ERS Annual Congress 2014

DZL Director named to shape scientific program of world's largest conference in respiratory medicine.

Prof.  Dr. Oliver Eickelberg, Director of the DZL Partner Center in Munich, the Comprehensive Pneumology Center Munich (CPC-M) has been named Chair of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) 2014 Annual Congress.  The mission of the ERS is “to alleviate suffering from respiratory disease and promote lung health through research, sharing of knowledge and through medical and public education,” and its annual congresses are an important part of fulfilling that mission.  Dr. Eickelberg was selected for his expertise in the field of lung research and his recognition as an international leader.  In his role as Congress Chair, Prof. Dr. Eickelberg will be responsible for shaping the scientific themes of the conference, as well as meeting planning and organization.
