The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between pulmonary disorders, comorbidities, and systemic inflammation in patients with COPD, both cross-sectionally and longitudinally. Of particular interest is the course of the disease in mild stages of COPD.
The study is based on the results and methods of the COSYCONET 1 study and aims at creating a modified study protocol, while at the same time ensuring comparability.
