This article summarises the highlights in the field of interventional pneumology from the congresses of the German Society of Pneumology (DGP) in March 2025 and the Austrian Society of Pneumology (OGP) in October 2025. Numerous prospective and retrospective studies were presented in inspiring and varied congress programmes, providing valuable insights into the field of interventional pneumology and discussing new perspectives. Key topics included innovations in the diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy for peripheral pulmonary nodules as well as new developments in the field of endoscopic lung volume reduction.
