Recombinant tissue plasminogen activator treatment for COVID-19 associated ARDS and acute cor pulmonale

The literature sources pointed out that COVID-19 patients possess altered coagulation process and are connected to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, including acute respiratory distress syndrome and acute cor pulmonale. In this report, we have described the effects of systemic thrombolytic on acute cor pulmonale in a patient suffering from COVID-19. In general, we have demonstrated that systemic thrombolysis in our patient successfully improved hemodynamics and resulted in a prominent decrease in hypercapnia, alveolar dead space and ventilatory ratio.
