Platform Coordinators

Prof. Dr. Andreas Günther (UGMLC), Dr. Thomas Muley (TLRC)

Broad, coordinated access to biomaterials and data is essential for the translation of research findings into patient therapies. A centrally-organized DZL Platform Biobanking & Data Management will guarantee that members of the DZL as well as external partners will have easy and direct access to biomaterials and data from patients with pulmonary disease. Access to research data is provided through secondary central data integration in respect with prevailing data privacy laws and regulations. The DZL Biobanking initiative aims to harmonize operating procedures and policies across DZL sites. These harmonization efforts include standardization of informed consent procedures, standardization of sample procurement, processing, and handling, as well as the development of harmonized of phenotyping tools.
