On March 17, 2026, around 380 people with lung diseases and their relatives took the opportunity to ask their questions directly to leading experts, many of which were answered live during the event.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"695\">The Online Patient Forum was organized by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Lung Information Service<\/span><\/span>, the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">German Center for Lung Research<\/span><\/span> (DZL), and the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">German Lung Day<\/span><\/span> in cooperation with the DGP.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"697\" data-end=\"927\">The Q&amp;A session was moderated by Congress President Prof. Robert Bals and Prof. Christiane Lex, Deputy Section Speaker of the German Lung Day. They guided through the event and coordinated the numerous questions from the audience.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"1001\">Questions were answered by experts from various fields of lung medicine:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1388\">\n<li data-section-id=\"23pxqp\" data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1077\">Prof. Bianca Schaub \u2013 Allergies and Asthma in Children and Adolescents<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"sofo5g\" data-start=\"1078\" data-end=\"1123\">Prof. Marek Lommatzsch \u2013 Asthma in Adults<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1fjx6xm\" data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1154\">Prof. Klaus F. Rabe \u2013 COPD<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1dode41\" data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1207\">Prof. Martin Witzenrath \u2013 Respiratory Infections<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1q89q1j\" data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1290\">Prof. J\u00fcrgen Behr \u2013 Interstitial Lung Diseases, for example Pulmonary Fibrosis<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"14kf8py\" data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1347\">Prof. H. Ardeschir Ghofrani \u2013 Pulmonary Hypertension<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1k0du7e\" data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1388\">Prof. Wolfgang Sch\u00fctte \u2013 Lung Cancer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1764\">The questions and answers discussed during the event will be prepared in anonymized form, organized by topic, and gradually published on the Lung Information Service website.
