On November 26, 2025, an online training event titled \u201cChanging Perspectives in Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD)\u201d brought together medical specialists from across disciplines. The event was supported by the German Center for Lung Research (DZL) and Boehringer Ingelheim (BI). Hosted on the StreamedUp platform, participants could join live, and the recording is now available on-demand for six years.<\/p>\n
The training aimed to showcase diverse professional perspectives on ILD and highlight the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges associated with this complex group of lung diseases. The event drew a remarkable audience: 609 participants attended live, and the event page received 2,383 visits. Most attendees came from general medicine (25.1%) and pulmonology (21.5%), followed by cardiology (9%), rheumatology (7.2%), and gastroenterology (4.9%).<\/p>\n
The scientific leadership was provided by Prof. Andreas G\u00fcnther and PD Dr. Ekaterina Krauss, both highly experienced in the clinical care and research of patients with interstitial and rare lung diseases.<\/p>\n

Progression of Dyspnea in Fibrosing ILD and Pulmonary Hypertension
Prof. Andreas G\u00fcnther and Prof. Khodr Tello explored key pulmonological and hemodynamic mechanisms.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Deterioration in Chronic Exogenous Allergic Alveolitis
PD Dr. Stefan Karrasch provided insights from occupational and environmental medicine, while Dr. Julia W\u00e4lscher presented pulmonological assessment strategies and approaches for monitoring disease progression.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Fibrosis Progression in SARD-ILD from Rheumatological and Pulmonological Perspectives
PD Dr. Philipp Klemm discussed immunological and rheumatological aspects, complemented by PD Dr. Ekaterina Krauss, who addressed structured disease monitoring and phenotypic classification from a pulmonological viewpoint.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
By combining these diverse perspectives, the training offered a comprehensive overview of current challenges and considerations in ILD management.<\/p>\n
The event not only delivered high-quality scientific content but also reached a broad audience. Beyond the live participation, the on-demand version is expected to achieve over 5,000 views.<\/p>\n
