STAT3-HIES is an inborn error of immunity. STAT3-HIES patients\u2019 quality of life is especially affected by chronic lung disease. With her project \"Understanding lung disease in STAT3-hyper IgE syndrome\", she wants to investigate the lung pathophysiology in this disease. And, if possible, answer the subsequent question: What is the best treatment for chronic lung disease in STAT3-HIES?<\/p>\n<p>The funding amount of around 100,000 euros includes a two-year fellowship for Verena H\u00e4fner, as well as funding for materials and travel expenses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Further information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) is a scientific society of physicians and scientists who are involved in research and take care of patients with immunodeficiencies. ESID\u2019s main goal is to improve the awareness, diagnosis, treatment and understanding of underlying pathomechanisms.
