Adolf-Windorfer prize awarded to DZL working group

Cystic Fibrosis: Junior Scientist Dr. Patricia Morán Losada...

Dr. Patricia Morán Losada, junior scientist in the working group of DZL Scientist Professor Dr. Dr. Tümmler at the Hannover Medical School, won the Adolf-Windorfer award for research on Cystic Fibrosis. The prize is endowed with 5.000 Euro and was awarded during the annual conference of the Mukoviszidose Association in May 2017. Dr. Losada received this prize for her publication „The cystic fibrosis lower airways microbial metagenome“.

The work was partially financed by the Mukoviszidose Association, while the main portion of the budget was contributed by the German Center for Lung Research (DZL). Professor Tümmler’s group is part of the DZL at its partner site BREATH (Biomedical Research in End-stage and Obstructive Lung Disease) in Hanover.
